Dan falls down the cliff and is attacked by'. swarm of bate which
miraculously enlighten him and he becomes very intelligent. With his
wit, he saves Caw and leads her out of danger.
The Princess still thinks that Dan and Lung are in the Palace. So
she goes to seek help from the Emperor who send troupes of soldiers
to wipe cut the Butterfly Palace.
Madam Butterfly returns to the Palace but the people there are shocked
to find her increased in strength and power. In -fact, after removing
the poison from Dan's body, she herself also gains in strength instead
becoming weak. She cheats Lung, Yu and the Princess into believing
that Dan has already died and leads them out of the Palace.
